Happy Pop Punk Holidays
Three Songs Worth Celebrating
3 Pop Punk Holiday Songs
Let's face it, since November, you've probably been listening to holiday music. I don't know about you, but I can only listen to Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye so many times before I lose my mind.
Unpopular opinion, Christmas music is overrated. There, I said it!
Take a listen to these three pop punk holiday themed songs and sing them around the dinner table with Old Aunt Bethany.
In all seriousness (and if you haven't unsubscribed from my last comment), I wish you and your loved ones a happy and jolly holiday season!
All Time Low - Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass
If last year's summer romance is this year's winter blues, you may have more in common with All Time Low than you know!
Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass is from their 2011 album, Dirty Work and tells the story of a guy who was dumped, right around Christmas time. The song is catchy and upbeat and can satisfy your angst, all year round.

To make this song even better, Clark Griswold makes a cameo at the end of the song.
So I wrote you a song
I hope that you sing along
And it goes Merry Christmas
Kiss my ass
Blink 182 - Happy Holidays You B*stard
I was skeptical to put this song on the list because it's only 42 seconds long (and a joke song), but it's from my all-time favorite album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.
Not only does this song show Marks frustration with it being Christmas Eve and only wrapping two presents. I mean, who likes wrapping presents?!
He also gripes about his grandfather and Labor Day. Two holidays in less than a minute!
Odds are, you'll get this stuck in your head and be singing it at the dinner table and getting strange, disapproving looks from family.

Fall Out Boy - Yule Shoot Your Eye Out
Before writing this article, I'd never heard this song. It's from their Greatest Hits Compilation Album called Believers Never Die. If FOB has a greatest hits album, I think we are officially old...
Yule Shoot Your Eye Out is an acoustic song about the singer not wanting to see his ex. He explicitly tells her, "Don't come home for Christmas."
Almost every single Christmas song (the classics) are obnoxiously happy and merry. After all, that's what the holiday season is all about. However, I respect what Fall Out Boy did here with this song because the holidays aren't joyful for everyone.
There are many out there who feel pain and hurt during this time of year and I can't think of a better band to write a sad/emo Christmas song.

Motivation/Closing
Again, thank you so much for your support over the last few months. Audio Angst has a lot of fun and exciting things planned in the new year and I'm excited to go on this journey with you.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Stay grateful and safe!
